Local Shops & Pubs

Shops

Whilst the local village shop has sadly closed, fresh fish and vegtables can be purchased at the Chapel carpark (located adjacent to the Greyhound Inn) every Thursday morning and on the first Thursday of every month there is a farmers market which sells a variety of produce. A "Fish & Chip" van calls at the village every Friday between the hours of 4.30 pm and 7pm.

The nearest post office can be found at either Stalham or Sea Palling. At Sea Palling there is a Premier Store which sells wines, groceries, newspapers, magazines, videos etc. It is also a post office and is open 7 days a week.

The nearest large supermarket, Tesco, is at Stalham (4 miles) and has a restaurant, petrol station and cash point. It is open from 8am to 10pm on weekdays and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm. The store also provides a local delivery service. Stalham also has a chemist, hairdresser, banks, takeaways and various other small shops including a pet shop/fishing tackle shop.

Latham supermarket at Potter Heigham (4 miles) stocks a wide range of goods and has a separate fishing tackle shop.

"Roys" of Wroxham (7 miles) is a department store with a large grocery department. Wroxham has many other shops and an information centre for the Broads.
